Mental Health Service Student Placements

We appreciate greatly the extra value that students on placement can bring to the work we undertake with service users, and also consider that, by taking on students we are fulfilling our role to raise mental health awareness.

Through our close links with local higher education institutions we can offer student placements for a range of health and social care related courses, including Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology and Art Therapy.

Social Work Students

We regularly take Social Work Students, either BA or MA, on 70 day placements.

OT Students

We have experience in offering 8 week placements to Occupational Therapy Students.

In-house supervision and practice learning facilitation by qualified personnel
Peer Supervision
Access to Mental health First Aid Training and other learning opportunities
A variety of direct work opportunities with groups, individuals and carers
